Carters supermarket

Established in 1983 by Carter and Edna Cain in a 6,000 square foot building at the corner of Lockhart and Cockerham Road in Denham Springs, we started off selling groceries, gas and hardware. Through hard work and customer loyalty, we have grown to offer six different locations throughout Livingston Parish to serve you. Although we have expanded our flagship store and added other locations, we are still a family owned and operated full-service supermarket. Mr. Carter's three children, their spouses and two grandchildren are active in each store. We have always been known for our fresh cut meats and rightly so. Our meat departments all have full-time butchers who offer high quality selections daily of beef, pork and chicken cut to your specifications. We also prepare specialty meats ready to cook for your next cook-out or tailgating event. Let's not forget about our full-service deli. Inside you can choose from a delicious hot plate lunch or call ahead and order one of our mouth watering burgers or poboys made to your liking. We can also make your gameday or catered affair easy by preparing a made to order party tray of sandwiches, hot wings, fruits, vegetables, meat or cheese, chicken tenders or our famous fried fish.
