Mr. Harold Banks started Banks Grocery company in Cairo IL. Our banners have included Wonder Market "Sells for Less" until early in the 1980s When H Burton Banks Jr. took over as President of the company. In late 1984 our stores were converted to Super Valu Foods "Our name says it all" The Banks family still home owned and operated changed our wholesale supplier to Associated Wholesale Grocery, Inc in early 2012.
